Calling all Catholic War Veterans and Auxiliary members from across the great State of Ohio! We’re once again gathering in Convention at the Wyndham Garden Inn in Westlake, Ohio. This year’s dates are Friday, April 24 – Sunday, April 26, 2026.

While here we’ll discuss our progress during the 2025-26 year, recognize excellence in the CWV & Auxiliary Programs, elect our leadership team for the 2026-27 year – all while having a good time with fellow CWV & Auxiliary members from all corners of Ohio.
Schedule of Events for Convention:
- Friday, April 24
- check into the hotel anytime after 3pm
- Auxiliary Convention opens
- Relax and enjoy yourself with our 1950’s and 60’s theme dinner
- The “world famous” Dept of Ohio Auxiliary Silent Auction will take place – always an awesome selection of prizes. The paddles sell out every year, so come early to get yours!
- Saturday, April 25
- Veterans Convention opens & the Auxiliary Convention resumes. Make your voice heard during the business sessions during the day.
- Election of new Department Officers – now might be a good time for you to get involved and help grow our Programs and our membership. You’ll meet some really nice people and have a lot of fun doing so
- Convention Banquet – join us for our celebration of the conclusion of the Convention, honor the best of our members with our Department Awards (John J. Martin Award and Auxiliary Member of the Year Award).
- We finish with the awe inspiring “11th Hour Ceremony” remembering our deceased Past Department Commanders. You’ll see the Jude Thaddeus Post 1675 Colorguard in action – they are elite!
- Retire to the Rich Thompson Hospitality Room to spend time with old friends and meet new friends
- Sunday, April 26
- Return to home Posts and Units knowing that you had a great time, met some great people and ready to have a great 2026-27 year in the CWV and Auxiliary!

If you’ve been to Ohio Convention before, you know what a good time they can be and how much of a good deal they are for the price that is charged. If you haven’t been to Convention before, you need to come out and find out what all the fuss is about!
Help us defray the cost of this event – solicit a local business and give them a chance to show their support for veterans by advertising in our Program Journal. Ads are competitively priced and need to be in no later than March 23.
